Ace Holsinger lead our customary worship service and had us intermittently weeping with laughter and weeping with joy. The harmony and synergy of familiar hymns and choruses was a part of Morrison Academy then, and elicits strong memories still.

Having Chuck and Betty Holsinger on board was icing on
the cake. As students at Morrison, many of us learned from Coachie
and Betty that it was OK to have fun, that it was important to strive for
excellence, and that God provides a framework which will guide our lives.
Chuck Holsinger has just published a book of his war experiences in World War II in the Philippines. I found it the most intense, intimate view of a soldier in the front, losing comrads and fighting under desperate conditions of any book I've read since reading, "All Quiet on the Western Front." Pardon the plug, but Coachie's book is a must read: "Above the Cry of Battle," by Chuck Holsinger, ACW Press, 5501 N. 7th Ave, #502, Phoenix, AZ, 85013 |
